We are currently looking for an experienced, Cantonese speaking Shipping Coordinator to support our operation in MediaCityUK.

Shoalter Automation UK Ltd (a HKTV Group Subsidiary) is embarking on an exciting and revolutionary new project. In a world-first, we are set to introduce our first completely Automated Convenience Stores to the UK market and beyond.

Due to unprecedented growth in International business we would like to add an additional Shipping Coordinator to help facilitate international shipping and logistics between the UK/EU and our headquarters in Hong Kong.

Shipping Coordinator Job Description


  • Processing purchase orders with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Monitoring shipments and updating relevant parties in Hong Kong
  • Communicate with suppliers about pre-item creation and to gather all documentation required for Hong Kong team to pass all QA checks and upload the data accurately
  • Preparing and submitting payment request documents to Hong Kong team
  • Following up payment status and manage credit and debit statements with suppliers
  • Helping Hong Kong team to undertake ad-hoc market research in the UK
  • Gathering suppliers quotations and present a comprehensive report to the Hong Kong team to assist in purchasing decisions
  • Other duties as required by the Hong Kong souring team.

Shipping Coordinator Person Specification

  • At least 3 years experience in International Shipping & Logistics
  • Impeccable Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and cross-trading and preparing Bills of Lading
  • UK & Hong Kong shipping experience (Deep Sea)
  • Understanding of how to ship goods internationally
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent written (Mandarin & English) & verbal (Cantonese & English) communication skills
