Shift Microbiology Technologist

CK Group are recruiting for four Shift Microbiology Technologists to join a company in the healthcare industry at their site based in Barnard Castle on a contract basis initially for 12 months.

Our client is a global healthcare company, taking on some of the world’s biggest healthcare challenges.

Shift pattern: 24 hours over 5 days

Shift Microbiology Technologist Role
  • Working as an aseptic operator, perform environmental monitoring of aseptic/terminally sterilized facilities
  • Engage in performing shutdown classification/reclassification of areas, including ISO qualification of areas, HEPA filter testing, air exchange rate testing, etc.
  • Perform routine water sampling and testing – sampling WFI and cleansteam used in the filling facilities.
  • Completion of relevant paperwork to a high standard.
  • Ability to build cross functional relationships and communicate clearly across departmental boundaries.
Your Background
  • Foundation degree (FdSc) or equivalent in relevant biological degree
  • Basic understanding of at least the core principals of microbiology
  • Previous experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment would be a bonus, preferably in a Quality role
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Previous experience in using SAP/MERP would be advantageous
