Summary

Freedom Networks are currently recruiting a SHEQ Advisor to be based from the East Kilbride OR Perth office to provide SHEQ support ensuring Freedom Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedure are followed.

Freedom Networks partners with Distributions Network Operators, offering a full turnkey solution from survey, inspection through to design, construction and handover, and planned maintenance.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Ensuring company systems and processes and complied with via site inspections/audits.
  • Monitoring the relevant areas of work for SHEQ compliance and bringing significant findings to the attention of the Operations Director and Divisional SHEQ Manager.
  • Implementing effective systems to develop a positive health & safety culture.
  • Advising and assisting the project on SHEQ matters.
  • Developing relationships locally with clients.
  • Ensuring accident and incident investigations are carried out monitoring that all actions followed up and completed.
  • Liaising and coordinating with the Group SHEQ Team to ensure consistency throughout the business.
  • Attending/presenting at client SHEQ meetings / forums and communicating findings throughout the region.
  • Monitoring the control of contractors within the region.
  • Maintaining personal competence.
  • Working in various parties from the central SHEQ team to address specific issues.
  • Taking an active part in the continual development of the SHEQ Management System

What We’re Looking For :

  • NEBOSH General
  • A good understanding of CDM
  • A good understanding of HSG47/Underground Utility Avoidance (Desirable)
  • Environmental knowledge - Desirable
  • Experience in electrical utilities - Desirable
  • NEBOSH construction - Desirable
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 – Desirable
  • IOSH membership (Chartered or working towards) - Desirable
  • Environmental Qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental Certificate) - Desirable
