Job Responsibilities

In the role of SHE Safety Advisor you will be providing safety support, advice and guidance in support of its on-going and future operations, ensuring it complies with current safety legislation and is aware of new safety legislation. The role aims to minimise safety risk and deliver continual improvement in safety performance and maintain compliance with ISO18001, 9001, 14001. You will implement and follow Kier Group’s SHEA policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice, making sure that the Group is compliant with all SHEA: statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, and contract specific requirements. You will report on SHEA performance to the SHEA Management Team, managing the reporting and review of all SHEA accidents/incidents. Develop, implement and achieve annual budgets within the business unit/area/programme whilst developing and seeking approval for business cases justifying investments is an essential part of this role as well as providing cost details for specific SHEA projects. You will lead and co-ordinate interactions with relevant statutory bodies and regulatory agencies e.g. Health and Safety Executive, also implementing Kier Group’s SHEA Management System, policy and procedures and all legal requirements.

What do we need from you?

We need you to be NEBOSH Qualified with GCSEs in Maths and English and have a proven interest in the safety and wellbeing of others. It’s desirable but not essential for you to have NEBOSH Construction, SMSTS, SSSTS and an NVQ Level 5 in SHE. If this sounds like you then please apply.
