Who are we?
We’re Vocalink, a Mastercard company. Our technology powers the UK’s real-time payments, settlements, direct debit systems as well as a network of over 55,000 ATM’s. We process over 90 percent of salaries, more than 70 percent of household bills and almost all state benefits.

Our Settlement and Disputes Management team support our customers, ensuring that Settlements for our ATM business are processed accurately, on time, every time. We also support our customers when things don’t go right for theirs; processing ATM disputes according to strict rules and procedures.

We’re based on the outskirts of the spa town Harrogate with secure car parking. We’ve got a subsidised café on site, free tea and bean to cup coffee, prayer room, bike storage, outdoor seating, and shower facilities.

What you’ll do
Process ATM disputes for the whole life-cycle of the claim using different scheme portals
Help to prepare dispute evidence in accordance with scheme rules
Monitor the fund movement for the various stages of the dispute lifecycle by analysing various scheme reports
Help with the production of weekly/monthly dispute statistics
Be responsible for the payment of settlement funds using various online payment systems and advising customers of their settlement positions.
Check and reconcile settlement figures, ensuring that reports balance correctly.
Work with our wider teams when things aren’t right to escalate any discrepancies, actively seeking solutions on behalf of our customers.
Work with some tight deadlines; completing all post settlement activities for customers in accordance with prescribed service level agreements and procedures. This includes completing and distributing reconciliation reports
Support our customers, ensuring that they adhere to payment deadlines and protocols and helping to resolve any discrepancies
Assisting with updating of departmental procedures for new/improved processes as required.

Work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts between 8am and 5pm as part of a supportive, fun, and friendly team.

What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a team player, with great organisational skills and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have

  • The ability to manage a time critical and deadline orientated workload
  • Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • The ability to work well within a team and but also on their own initiative
  • Strong IT skills in particular MS Word, Excel and Outlook

It’d be great they had experience in the following (but don’t worry, we’re happy to teach the right person)

  • Back Office Experience
  • Experience in the Financial Services or similar Industry
