Job Title: Service Manager - Full Time, 37.5 hours per week.

Shifts: To meet the needs of the service - including evenings, weekends and overnight spot checks. On call required, with the expectation of attending service and covering rota where required including evenings, weekends and waking night shifts.

Pay Rate: £32,000 per annum + annual opportunity for a bonus if targets are met.

Service / Location: Fennell Court in Dewsbury

Fennell Court is a purpose built home in the market town of Dewsbury. We provide an intensive support service to individuals with learning disabilities who may also have mental health needs or challenging behaviour.

This is a Registered Manager position, managing an intensive support service in Dewsbury; Fennell Court and as such the successful candidate will be required to register with the Care Quality Commission.

Our emphasis is to promote a person-centred approach in all aspects of the support we offer. Our aim is to support residents to achieve their goals in life and we actively seek out opportunities for everyone to develop their skills and confidence through a variety of staff involvement, activities and other initiatives.

The position is managing Fennell Court, which is an intensive support service for individuals aged from 18 years old with learning disabilities, autism and/or behaviours that challenge. Therefore experience of supporting service users with these needs and a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent are requirements for this position.

  • Commitment to delivering high quality care.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Service Manager / supporting service users with learning disabilities and/or behaviours that challenge.
  • This is an intensive support service, which has lots of DoLS in place, so must have knowledge and understanding of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, how to carry out mental capacity assessments and best interest, how to apply for DoLS.
  • Strong working knowledge of care standards and regulations.
  • Have a Registered Managers Award plus Level 5 diploma or above.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Reliability and being approachable.
