Job Title: Service Management Transition Lead (Fixed Term Contract 16-18 months)

Correla supplies a 24x7x365 operational support environment that provides and maintains critical gas industry services.

Reporting to the Change Delivery Manager, the Transition Lead will be responsible for working with the project teams and internal delivery teams to help build, support, assure and provide the correct service models and governance for the smooth transition of new or modified Data Centre and managed services.

Role Accountabilities
  • Work with the appropriate teams to ensure transition activities are completed to introduce new services as well as optimisation of existing services
  • Through early and continued project engagement act as point of contact for project teams and change into Technical Operations and build virtual teams to aid facilitation information.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand and interpret the key requirements for the criticality and provision of services and service models
  • Set correct expectations on the performance and use of new or changed services
  • Ensuring that services can be managed, operated and supported in accordance with constraints specified during the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to document creation, review and approvals for documentation required for project control, assurance and operational readiness and running
  • Drive the design, build and integration of service models suitable for the provision of service excellence for both on-premise and cloud-based delivery environments, in line with Correla’s design, support and delivery principles and processes
  • Be the transition assurance and governance point ensuring the Service Management deliverables as part service transition meet both Technical Operations and the business’s high levels of service excellence requirements
  • Working with project teams, third party suppliers and business stakeholders, to ensure delivery of quality and detailed knowledge management artefacts fully covering service supportability requirements
  • Identify, implement and evaluate system and process improvements identified through service design that can be applied to the wider technical and business support environments
  • Be accountable for and provide weekly progress on Transition activities
  • Ensure any retirement and decommissioning of services are fully understand and managed in the same way as introduction of new services
Specialist/Technical Expertise
  • Experience in similar Transition Planning and Support roles working to industry best practice standards within tight timescale in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge, understanding and practical experience of building and maintain supplier relationships including direct, third party and offshore interactions.
  • Solid experience and capability of Service Management principles and governance, ideally with a minimum of at least one or more relevant ITIL intermediate qualifications (Service Design, Service Transition or Service Operations) and being able to demonstrate experience and understanding through working within ITIL environments through your previous positions.
  • Strong Customer Focused skills
  • Working within a face paced environment
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of successfully managing their own work and that of others where required, including the ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to meet tight deadlines

Salary between £43,000 - £50,000 plus benefits, depending on experience
