As a Service Designer within Corporate Services, you’ll support teams across BEIS to ensure that their service is user-centred. Your role will be to craft accessible services that reduce friction and complexity for both public-facing services and internal systems.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues as part of an agile team to solve complex problems with evidence-based digital concepts.

You’ll be experienced in the service design process, understanding how to help teams understand the problem they’re trying to solve, who their users are and translating their needs for your team.

You’ll take a broad approach to service design, incorporating end-to-end and front-to-back thinking as you work with your team to solve the whole problem for the user. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to find opportunities, risks and dependencies across multiple services.

You’ll be an excellent communicator who can advocate for users internally and explain user-centred design principles to non-specialists.
