We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Delivery Engineer to join our Established Operations - IT team here at the Head office in Coleshill. Main Responsibilities of the role: Maintaining the uptime and performance of the Trakm8 telemetry ingest system. Trakm8 utilise Dell, HPE, VMware and Palo Alto technologies alongside AWS to provision Linux and Windows systems to provision a highly available telematics data ingest system. In-house developed applications process the data real time and provide the information to clients either via the Trakm8 platform or push data direct to client systems. The uptime and throughput of this system is critical to client services. Technologies in use Linux (Centos/Ubuntu) and Window operating systems on vSphere and AWS Kubernetes, Docker MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Kong, Postgres, RabbitMQ Automation tooling such as Ansible or Puppet TCP/IP Networking including DNS, Routing, VPN’s and ancillary services such as SMTP, HTTP and HTTPS Enterprise grade firewalls provided by Palo Alto, VPN’s, BGP HAProxy, NGINX, MetalLB and DNS including dynamic DNS services Monitoring systems such as Grafana, Icinga GIT, Bitbucket, Jira, Bamboo iSCSI SAN, Storage pools, volumes, snapshots AWS EC2, RDS, ELB, VCP, Multi AZ subnets, VPN, Transit and Customer GatewayThe Service Delivery engineers will ensure that they are managing the above estate to ensure that it is performant, agile and resilient to any issues that may arise. On a day-to-day basis the Service Delivery engineers will carry out the following; Hands-on design, build and troubleshooting of a Server Infrastructure environment (Linux Servers / Web Servers / Application Servers / Database / Storage / Networking) Balance incident and project-based work to improve the Trakm8 systems and services Fault finding and troubleshooting of issues across servers, databases, networks application deployments Take part in the 24x7 on-call rota and able to work flexibly Provide clear and concise documentation of existing and new solutionsRequirements: Extensive experience Production/enterprise grade Linux administration (Centos) Kubernetes implementation and management AWS and VMware implementation and management Network, Systems and SAN management with security focus Automated Monitoring, Ansible and Scripting Knowledge - Icinga, Perl, Python, Bash Datacentre experience (security, storage and networking)This role requires screening in the below areas: 2 years of satisfactory Employment/Education References Pre-Employment Credit Check Basic Disclosure
