Evove delivers advanced filtration technologies that reduce the cost and environmental impact of processing fluids in lithium extraction, semiconductor manufacture, hydrogen production, desalination, water reuse and the production of food and beverages. Our additive-manufactured membranes (Separonics®) are precision-engineered for transformational performance in key areas of the new energy economy.

As part of our rapid growth,we are seeking a Senior Water Services Engineer to join the team. Based initially at our Technology Centre in Widnes,, the successful applicant will be working collaboratively with team members and industrial partners to commercialise our products around the world.

The Senior Water Services Engineer will be experienced in executing on project delivery, specifically

focussed on pilot demonstration of more mature technologies, but will also be involved in technology development from proof of principle through to scale-up and commercialisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their allocated projects, attending site-based trials and engaging with the customer in order to ensure technical delivery against defined KPI’s.

Key roles and responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

  • Lead and manage projects, including planning, studies at our facilities in preparatfor pilot demonstration of Evove’s technology; and
  • Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed within established timelines and financial constraints.

2. Client Interaction:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations for projects and site-based trials;
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients and stakeholders;
  • Lead site-based trials for customer facing projects, working with external stakeholders to deliver success whilst maintaining high levels of safety;
  • Be comfortable with global travel and prolonged stays on site to perform pilot demonstrations; and
  • Display excellent communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders

3. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support;
  • Foster collaborative and innovative work environment; and
  • Be an ambassador for Evove.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Adhere to site safety practices and operate in safe manner and ensure that all projects adhere to regulations;
  • Work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals; and
  • Possess a good knowledge of quality control processes

5. Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects;
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges; and
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.

6. Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports for management, clients and innovation activities;
  • Communicate with management and team regarding the overall performance and any issues that may arise; and
  • Generate reports and present findings from site validation trials

Candidate requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • BSc in engineering or a related scientific subject
  • 5+ years experience in conducting product development or running pilot-scale trials
  • Ability to prioritise workload supporting multiple projects at once
  • Dedicated individual with the drive to ensure success
  • At ease working in groups, individually or with industrial collaborators
  • Quick learner, able to adapt to a rapidly changing, innovative environment
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems against time pressures
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of membrane separation processes is highly desirable

The position is open immediately and will be located in Widnes in the Northwest of England for an initial training period and the successful candidate can be based anywhere within the UK as travel expenses will be paid throughout training.
