As Senior Vice President (SVP) you will direct and lead the operations of a large, complex and global multi-therapeutic clinical project management group with full accountability for successful project and program delivery. You will determine strategic goals and objectives for the group and partner with internal Therapeutic Area Leads, across functions to develop implementation plans. Ensuring operational alignment with senior management will be a priority focus and competitive positioning within the marketplace and industry is also a critical component of this role. As an Executive Senior Leader you will be expected to operate as an IQVIA ambassador and as the IQVIA senior representative for key customer relationships.

Locations: EMEA and USA.

The SVP position reports to the President of Clinical Operations, plays a key role as part of the Clinical Operations Leadership Team and frequent travel should be expected (domestic and international). In addition, this role holds the following responsibilities (list not exhaustive);

• Direct the operations of the Global Project Leadership employees, ensuring project deliverables are achieved for each project management role. Lead and develop senior leaders to assure the development of staff along career progression goals and strategic departmental and corporate priorities.
• Formulate effective strategic goals for the assigned unit globally and take ownership for strategic initiatives including development of measures for success.
• Provide strategic leadership and input for the resourcing process and outcomes, hiring targets, processes relating to onboarding and training standards. Continually review and ensure adequate resources are available to meet deliverables and milestones, working in partnership as needed with cross functional colleagues and our internal Talent Acquisition team.
• Ensure projected net revenue and contribution margins, overhead costs, and operating surplus for projects within the remit of the group; i.e. leadership of the budget development process, development of key fiscal outcome metrics, execution of the budget via thorough analysis of ongoing outputs, develop accurate forecasts and risk assessment in alignment with budgetary goals and institute fiscal action plans when necessary.
• Oversee and guide senior leaders within the Project Leadership group to make sure that billable and non billable headcount is fully utilized and managed effectively.
• Design and develop organization plans to include robust succession plans and the development and mentoring of senior level talent.
• Provide executive leadership for project teams when necessary to manage project related challenges and to achieve exemplary customer service.
• Develop relationships with key customer accounts, specifically therapeutic decision makers and engage through regular customer meetings.
• Demonstrate sound industry knowledge and expertise through external ‘thought leadership’ opportunities such as speaker panels, webinars, Corporate Marketing initiatives and with your output on business social networks.
  

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Highly capable clinical research professional with extensive prior experience in leadership including multi-regional and global focus, with significant P&L experience.
• Requires exceptional business knowledge, general management, and global leadership capability to lead business and functional teams.
• Experience and knowledge obtained through advanced education, combined with operational and strategic leadership experience.
• In depth knowledge of project management techniques and project financial tracking and accounting methods with skill in applying them.
• Experience of global Business Continuity Planning
