As the Senior Test Engineer you will lead and direct test teams in implementing Signalling Projects into operational service with a bias towards Principles Testing.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Carry out Principles testing activities relating to project specifics and implementation of the Signalling System which has been installed in accordance with the Design Details
  • Production and checking of signaling testing documentation in relation to principle specifications
  • Managing Signalling testing works and auditing of the activity
  • Reviewing and Reporting on Testing Sub-Contractor Works
  • Ensure safe systems are maintained with regards to laid down procedures / standards
  • Personal and technical development of direct reports
  • Perform duties as directed by management from time to time
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, Associated Railway legislation, Company codes of conduct
  • Regular contact with the Client, Project Management, Signalling Design, Systems Testing and Installation functions

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Proven leadership qualities and management skills (essential)
  • Relevant Railway Signalling experience (essential)
  • PTS, COSS, Driving Licence, SPWEE (essential)
  • Testing Modules 1 and/or 2, 3B and 4 (essential)
  • Appropriate NR CofC (essential)
  • Appropriate IRSE Licence (essential)
  • Member of the IEE or IRSE or other recognised body (essential)
  • Strong commitment to delivering Signalling Projects (essential)
  • Good communication skills and understanding of task and time management
  • Good presentation skills
  • Educated to HNC/HND/HTC or equivalent
