We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technologist to join our Standalone Analytical Testing Service (SATS) in Cambridge. As a Senior Technologist, you are there to support the SATS by performing a range of analytical tests such as HPLC, ELISA, IC-IEF and gel based assays. This is a lab based position that requires equipment maintenance, buffer preparation, data analysis and troubleshooting. This is a highly customer focused role with the opportunity to become part of a small but very dynamic team, providing you with exposure to multiple areas of Development Services within Lonza.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform range of assays, e.g. MEA, AKTA, HPLC, GXII, ELISA, QPCR, LC/MS, iCE, CE SDS
  • Analyse data and interpret results including troubleshooting
  • Perform general department functions e.g. ordering, buffer preparation, risk assessments
  • Maintain and take ownership of systems (documentation, calibration, troubleshooting.
  • Work on internal and external multidisciplinary project
  • Adherence to good laboratory practice, including cGMP where applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Possess research and GMP knowledge, with exposure to protein chemistry, antibodies and analytical techniques – HPLC, MEA, iCE
  • Must be able to work autonomously, continually problem solving and managing your own time and workload
  • Must have a high attention to detail and possess a professional communication style
  • Customer centric mindset
