Trusted.SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Technician (Technical Support) to provide contracting services to NATO.Under the direction of CSE Yeovilton Head & Engineer (NSO YCY 0010), the incumbent will perform duties such as the following
  • Responsible to the site Engineer for the installation, protection, operation, maintenance and support of assigned CIS systems;
  • Accountable for workstation image developing and deployment; network address assignment; endpoint security; networked software deployment; Incident management;
  • Responsible for
    • data backup;
    • desktop applications;
    • fileservers;
    • printing;
    • directories;
    • policies;
    • encryption;
    • Ethernet frame switching;
    • firewalls;
    • name to address resolution;
    • data loss prevention;
    • database maintenance;
    • audiovisual systems;
    • video conferencing;
    • cabling;
    • rack management;
    • rack power;
    • hypervisors;
    • updates;
    • asset management;
  • Responsible for the Security Analysis of any assigned system;
  • Implements technical solutions;
  • Supports Incident, Change and Problem Management processes;
  • Routinely conducts in-depth technical analysis to assess capacity and improve performance and, where necessary, submits
  • Requests for Change to develop the LAN and server farm;
  • Monitors the local Incident Management process, providing first line technical assistance;
  • Assist site Engineer with developing and maintaining a general CIS policy;
  • Assist site Engineer with providing end user support;
  • Contributes to Configuration Management, ensuring that any CIS change is captured;
  • Establishes, monitors and executes proper preventative maintenance plans;
  • Assists site Engineer with the development of technical input for future project planning, development of troubleshooting SOPs, and development and execution of the Sector Disaster
  • Recovery/Business Continuity Plans;
  • Alternate Crypto Custodian for the site;
  • Maintains a close liaison with other technicians and engineers in Service Lines and DCSU;
  • Maintains related documentation;
  • Stays abreast of technological developments relevant to the area of work;
  • Liaises with external suppliers;
  • Deputize for CSE Yeovilton Head & Engineer, when required;
  • Performs other duties as may be required.
Required Qualifications
  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience.
    • Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience;
  • Minimum 1 year continuous experience during the last 6 years, maintaining and managing to an advanced level McAfee (Trellix) ePolicy Orchestrator and its agents;
  • Minimum 1 year continuous experience during the last 6 years, preparing, developing, and deploying Microsoft Windows OS images using SCCM or MECM;
  • Minimum 6 months continuous experience during the last 10 years, managing Microsoft DHCP, including but not limited to creating scopes & configuring replication;
  • Minimum 1 year continuous experience during the last 10 years, managing and maintaining a Server data backup solution, this must also include experience with creating backup jobs;
  • Minimum 3 year continuous experience during the last 10 years, maintaining Microsoft Server;
  • Minimum 2 year continuous experience during the last 5 years creating and configuring virtual machines in VMware vCenter;
  • Minimum 1 year continuous experience working in an IT Service Desk, within last 12 years;
  • Certified ITIL Foundation.
  • National of one of the 31 NATO countries.
  • In possession of an active National and/or NATO Secret security clearance.
