Senior Support Worker

Hours -37.5 hours per week (52 weeks)

Salary -£22,307.00 – with annual incremental progression up to £26,357.00

Are you looking for your next step in a rewarding career supporting young people?

We’re looking for an experienced support worker to join our Fostering team primarily based in Cheadle, Stockport.

Aim of post

To provide support and assistance to children and young people placed with a Together Trust Foster Carer. The post will entail supporting a child or young person’s care plan by working directly with the child, including direct care & educational support, together with enabling them to access opportunities to seek appropriate community and leisure activities. Direct support to children and young people living with Together Trust foster carers will include a range of outreach work. To be responsible for the day to day running of support services in consultation with the appropriate delegated supervising social worker.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

    Some experience in a care or support setting, working with young people looked after or children in need of support/services.

    The ability to work well within a team and develop open and honest communication.

    The resilience to work with challenging behaviour in a caring and consistent manner, including the maintenance of appropriate boundaries of behaviour.
