Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere!We Are Looking For a Senior Software Engineer To Join Global IT Software Engineering With Opportunities To Develop a Range Of High Impact Applications Including

• Our next generation telemetry system, deployed globally and receiving telemetry from our devices around the world.
• Our data analysis platforms enabling our R&D teams to work effectively across on-prem and cloud, utilising Notebooks and workflow engines.
• Our API management platform enabling external and internal partners across the business to interact with our systems.

Our core technologies are Python and JavaScript/Typescript with some legacy Ruby code bases. We utilise both relational and non-relational database systems and deploy across multiple clouds and on-premises.You will be responsible for developing data-intensive web applications and api-driven systems using agile methods, including test-driven development and continuous delivery, and contributing to the maintenance of these applications in conjunction with our operations team.What We Are Looking For ...

• Production quality Python or Javascript/Typescript
• Proven experience of developing and maintaining web-applications or API-driven systems
• Serverless architectures (including AWS Lambda or other Function-as-a-Service)
• Experience with automated deployment and testing with CI/CD, Git, Containerised applications with Docker.
• Understanding of a range of frameworks and their strengths and weaknesses. E.g. Django, FastAPI, Node.js, Flask, Rails
• Cloud deployment orchestration, e.g. using Terraform or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of using database backends in applications, including SQL and MongoDB.
