With a strong commitment to excellence and a history of successful project delivery, they are looking for a talented Site Engineer to join their team to play a vital role in delivering projects between Edinburgh and the Borders.

Job Description:

As a Site Engineer, you will be an integral part of their construction team, working on a variety of infrastructure and commercial projects that have a direct and positive impact on local communities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the construction process are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform site surveys and assessments to ensure project feasibility and compliance with engineering standards and local regulations.
  • Prepare and review project plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate construction activities on site, including equipment, materials, and labour resources.
  • Ensure that construction activities comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays, and report updates to project managers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and providing solutions to construction challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, inspections, and quality control documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in infrastructure and or commercial construction projects. 2 years + experience (desirable)
  • Proficiency in using engineering software, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
