The organisation
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Service Delivery Manager on a permanent basis for a leader in the Technology sector, who are based in Basingstoke (hybrid working). The organisation is currently entering the second phase of an ambitious and large-scale digital transformation and are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager to help lead their teams.

The Job
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and hands-on leader to strengthen the pan-European Product and IT business customer engineering service support team. Someone who gets involved in the shaping/creation of work activities. You have the drive to install an ethos of continuous improvement and a culture of strength and confidence to adopt and explore change initiatives and take learnings.

As the Service Delivery Manager, you have a solid understanding of running an effective delivery organisation with mechanisms to monitor and control the service delivery quality from resource availability, capability, delivery cost through to service levels.

You will take immediate leadership of the European service team and to identify and champion a transformation roadmap to meet the business demands for scaling capacity, capability and service quality to increase customer satisfaction and service profitability.

Experience Needed
  • You will have previous experience as a Service Delivery Manager working for an Enterprise organisation, managing technical teams of at least 30 – 50 people across multiple geographical locations (1st – 3rd line, Networks, Servers, Infrastructure, Contact Centres etc)
  • Experience working with, or for Consultancies would be advantageous but is not essential
  • ITIL implementation and change management experience
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to motivate, train and develop their technical teams
  • Budget Management £2M+
  • Experience leading on new customer bids – ability to advise and steer the business on feasibility, opportunity, risk and resource availability
  • Experienced managing diverse teams in different locations (ideally UK/ Europe), with an understanding of local cultures, processes, contracts and regulations etc
  • Experience restructuring service teams/ departments/ recruitment/ training etc
  • Any experience with business acquisition would also be beneficial and an understanding of the impact on integrating new accounts/ clients/ business streams would be highly advantageous
  • 3rd party hardware and software partners and ownership of manage service escalations
  • Reviewing new sales bids and confirming service support contracts can meet customer service requirements, SLAs and achieve operating margins
  • Upward management reporting, issue and risk escalations to senior management

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be ambitious, driven with a positive and creative approach to problem solving


Benefits

Salary of up to £75,000 (some movement on this for the right person), bonus between 15-30%, Car Allowance of £7,300, Pension up to 8% (employee) and 14% employer, Annual leave starting at 25 days plus bank holidays, Life Assurance x10 salary, Private Medical Insurance, plus a suite of other benefits.
