What are we looking for?
An excellent knowledge of mammalian cell biology, ideally with hands-on experience of human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC) biology. Experience of the maintenance and differentiation of hPSCs is highly desirable. The ideal candidate would have a higher degree in cellular biology, stem cell therapy, stem cell biology, developmental biology, or a relevant BSc with 3+ years of industrial experience within a cell biology/stem cell/cell therapy environment.

Responsibilities
  • Working in a collaborative manner to contribute expertise to the design and planning of laboratory work.
  • Plan, write and execute scientific protocols, maintain accurate records and manage data. Comply with company project management processes.
  • Record, analyse and communicate experimental findings in laboratory notebooks and scientific reports. Contribute to regulatory documents.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory practices in all development activities.
  • Contribute to general laboratory operations.

Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in mammalian cell culture and the use of aseptic techniques is essential.
  • Excellent working knowledge of hPSC biology and experience with maintenance and differentiation of hPSCs is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience of troubleshooting, developing or optimising hPSC differentiation protocols, of other complex culture processes, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in relevant analytical techniques (Cell counts, Flow Cytometry, PCR) is required.
  • Experience of developing GMP-ready processes and scale-up/out is desirable.
