Senior Science Technician

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Science Technician to support our large and highly successful Science Faculty. The Teaching and Technician team work hand in hand in our school to provide the most vibrant scientific curriculum possible for our students.

The successful applicant will lead and manage a team of technicians; co-ordinate the use of all resources and facilities within the Science department; manage the prep rooms; will provide technical advice on Health & Safety issues and will ensure all Health & Safety regulations and Codes of Practice are observed at all times.

You will need to have a good IT skills, a good subject knowledge and have experience of leading a team. You will be familiar with chemicals, scientific equipment and have knowledge of Health & Safety training.

The role is 37hrs per week, term time (including INSET Days) and 1 week of the school holidays.

Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale D1 – D5 (FTE: £22,868 - £25,700) pro-rated over 45.61 weeks per year.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification, will be required to have an enhanced DBS check and will have applied via the school application form.
