Ebeni are seeking an experienced high calibre System Safety Engineer to join our growing Aerospace and Defence team working on some of the most advanced and innovative engineering programmes around today.

Our clients include blue chip engineering and defence suppliers, innovative start-ups working on game changing transport concepts and systems through to large government organisations. We work with world class and market leading technology and engineering companies in the UK, Europe and around the world.

Ebeni is working with our clients to bring innovative concepts and technologies across the civil and military aerospace and defence fields to market, including the latest developments in Urban Air Mobility, unmanned aircraft and autonomous systems.

Our team is exploring and developing new safety and certification approaches to areas such as automotive safety engineering and autonomous transport solutions for air and land use.

We are developing new approaches to integrate safety with cyber and physical security and operational demands.

As an experienced Systems Safety Engineer, your knowledge will add real value to our growing team. You will be driven by the desire to make a real change through engineering innovation and motivated to succeed in fast moving and dynamic environments. Your systems safety engineering and assessment experience will have been gained in challenging and potentially diverse environments. You will be well versed in the tools and techniques associated with the design, development and operation of safety critical systems.

  • A good engineering, science or mathematics degree. Professionally registered as a Chartered Engineer or working towards.
  • A solid background in the safety engineering, development and assessment gained in an aerospace, defence or similar field.
  • Sound knowledge and application experience of civil and/or military certification and safety standards relating to your experience in the aerospace and/or military fields.
  • Significant, proven experience producing safety assessment reports and other artefacts and application of the associated safety assessment techniques to meet regulatory requirements.
  • An excellent manager and communicator, you will be comfortable working autonomously or within a team and with designers, developers, operators and regulatory authorities.
  • Security Clearance (SC) must be either held or able to be attained.

Position: Senior Safety Engineer

Location: UK (Warrington, Lincoln, Corsham and home-working)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday

Salary range:Dependant on experience
