The Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health conducts world-leading research to investigate ways that lives of individuals and communities can be improved through a better understanding of community-based and health-focused initiatives. The Centre has a strong multi-disciplinary cadre of researchers with a research portfolio that creates value for society, policy and academia. For more information about the Centre, please visit: . We take a collaborative approach to research and most of our research is carried out in teams working with academic, community and policy partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Yunus Centre in the capacity of Senior Research Fellow. We are looking for a quantitative researcher who will play a leading role in attracting new research grants, generating and co-ordinating pioneering research ideas and contributing to collaborative research in the Yunus Centre, supporting and growing our quantitative expertise.

Applicants should have completed a PhD. A good understanding of social sciences, including current research in social innovation, communities, citizenship and participation, health and wellbeing, is desirable. Expertise in, for example, data analytics, data design, statistical methods for modelling complex data, is also required. Applicants must be able to evidence their ability to publish in internationally excellent journals. Experience of mentoring and training Master/PhD students and ECRs, particularly in quantitative research methods is also welcomed.

Contributing to the development and sustainability of the Community, Citizenship and Participation theme within the Yunus Centre, the candidate is expected to have good time management and organisational skills, be able to work effectively on a variety of tasks and, through networking with relevant stakeholders and public engagement aligned to the University’s mission and strategic objectives, contribute to the growing recognition the Centre.
