Responsible for conducting applied research in scientific area of focus. Investigating applicable solutions through rigorous, protracted studies and ensuring that a quality, integrated solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client*s satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Commercial acumen / Client relationship

  • Is considered a point of contact by clients for simple project requests/questions

  • Has a good understanding of business issues, clients, methodologies and how research meets clients’ needs by participating in internal RFP brainstorming sessions, relevant training and through project work

  • Prepares relevant documents for client meetings and calls and attends, following up on key actions agreed

  • Inputs into sections of proposals

  • Supports Business Consulting and Business Excellence Teams, in generating repeat business opportunities by delivering high quality research and project management

  • Produces simple job costs with support from senior team members

  • Is aware of profitability targets and drivers at project level

Research setup

  • Works autonomously in project managing qualitative and quantitative research projects

  • Builds an awareness of a range of a range of methodologies and their applications

  • Communicates confidently with clients regarding research materials

  • Writes simple research material (screeners, questionnaires, and discussion guides) that meet client business issues and market research objectives, with minimal input from senior colleagues; updates tracking research material

  • Has a good appreciation of qualitative interviewing techniques, brief moderators, moderates interviews, manages backroom relationships, where appropriate.

Project Management

  • Provides effective project management for qualitative and quantitative research projects, responsible for project scheduling and effectively managing changes with a solution focused approach

  • Liaises effectively with internal subject matter experts and suppliers (freelancers, content analysts, scripting, DP, charting), holding external providers accountable

  • Liaises efficiently with scripting providers, ensuring a preliminary thorough review of the questionnaire logic, with effective use of appropriate internal documentation

  • In the case of trackers, ensures learnings from previous projects are consolidated and shared with suppliers, the Business Excellence team, and directors, in order to drive efficiency and cost control

  • Monitors time spent on projects, aiming to deliver tasks within budgeted hours

  • Proactively updates the project team on key study milestones developments, anticipates and flags potential issues

  • Writes tab-specs and reviews the code frame based upon the questionnaire resulting in appropriate table output to fit the story / structure of the presentation

Analysis / deliverables

  • Accurately checks tables removing all errors

  • Embraces the philosophy of the CAPTIVATE programme to improve the client experience from initial conversations through to final deliverables

  • Works with project team to analyse findings to meet client needs

  • Drafts qualitative and quantitative presentations to the standard expected

  • Designs and implements ‘beyond PowerPoint’ final deliverables where appropriate

  • Writes headings on simple reports, assisting in the storytelling process

  • Quality checks client deliverables

  • Presents sections of client presentations, communicating clearly and in a structured way and contributes to client meetings, where appropriate

Internal Procedures

  • Adheres to all administrative, commercial, financial, quality and compliance related processes (data protection, adverse event, ISO standards)

Internal management

  • Manages own workload effectively and budgets per task, works with project team and resource manager around challenges and priorities to ensure agreed deadlines are met

  • Has strong relationships within the Business Excellence and the Research Operations teams, contributes to set and reinforce best practice

  • Is fully aware of and committed to project tasks / roles as assigned at the project kick off meeting and delivers on these

  • Consistently meets deadlines required by both clients, other team members and departments

  • Contributes to internal initiatives designed to improve our offer

  • Supports the onboarding of new project team members and overall collaboration across the EU region

  • Presents at internal meetings, communicating clearly and with structure
