Kier Construction have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Aberdeen Business.

We have a strong pipeline of quality projects across the North East of Scotland. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be aligned with a significant heritage project that will regenerate a key cultural facility for the city.

Location: Aberdeen, Scotland

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will take on a vital role in ensuring the commercial management of projects from tender to financial close, responsible for;

  • Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages
  • Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.
  • Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
  • Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
  • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
What are we looking for?

The position of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have experience working on 2 stage bids
  • You can demonstrate strong knowledge of NEC and JCT conditions
  • You have prior experience in leading on high value construction projects
  • You have experience of procurement and sub contractor management
  • You are comfortable creating in depth commercial reposts for senior stakeholders
  • You hold relevant academic qualification – Degree / HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / membership to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Desirable)
