Senior Quantity Surveyor A leading rail engineering contractor is looking for a Senior QS to join them in their Glasgow office on a number of rail electrification schemes across Scotland. They are open to QS who have strong construction based experience, ideally within the rail industry. The position will also involve: Analysing quotations and placing official ordersCompiling and comparing subcontractor tendersValuations and cost reportsMeetings with Finance and Project TeamIdentifying and valuating site instructions and extensionsAllocating work to subcontractorsExperience and Qualifications: Understanding of contract document preparation, contract management processes and proceduresExperience of assisting in the handling of claims and disputesA working knowledge of procurement techniques and contract forms.An understanding of commercial and financial reporting within a project, programme or portfolio environmentDegree qualified with BSc Quantity Surveying is desirableExperience of assisting in the handling of claims and disputes.An understanding of commercial and financial reporting within a project, programme or portfolio environment This permanent opportunity is working for a leading rail based organisation based in the central belt in Scotland, so could suit candidates in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Coatbridge etc. If you would be interested in discussing this role further please contact Sebastian at Critical Project Resourcing
