Our client is a leading civil and electrical engineering construction company that operates throughout the UK on major infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients.

Due to award of a major fibre project they are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor, based in the Staffordshire

Works include all commercial duties required of a quantity surveyor for the telecoms works on the framework, with the position working alongside the senior quantity surveyors for the specific scheme, as well as the managing quantity surveyor. An excellent understanding of NEC contracts is a must, and in particular option A, B and C.

Duties And Key Responsibilities
  • Management and control of commercial aspects of the projects.
  • Direct interface / liaison with the supply chain
  • Subcontract procurement
  • Subcontract management
  • To maximise profitability working within the requirements of the conditions of a target cost contract.
  • Identification and management of change control.
  • Assisting in the creation of the cost plan and then taking ownership of the same, as well as the creation and maintenance of the monthly CVR for the scheme including cost reporting and forecasting for all elements and conveying this information back to the managing quantity surveyor.
  • Maintain commercial information relevant to the contract.
