SR2 have exclusively partnered with Live More to build our their new team. We are hiring 7 people to work with the Head of Product and CTO, one of these roles being a Senior Python Developer.

We’re looking for a Senior Python Developer to join LiveMore. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering you’ll be responsible for technical leadership of a new in-house development team. The role is an opportunity for a talented senior engineer looking for a role with a large span of ownership and responsibilities.

Who we are

LiveMore is a technology-enabled mortgage lender on a mission to simplify later life lending. We’re built based on the belief that the usual high street mortgage options available when you’re aged 55 or over aren’t good enough. So, we’re building something better.

As we come to the end of a highly successful initial launch period, we’re expanding beyond our initial launch goals at pace. Including building a new in house engineering team and opening a new office in Bristol. We’re looking for forward thinkers, problem solvers and entrepreneurial individuals to join the team and grow with the business.

Main Responsibilities

Implementing features, with a skilled, passionate and professional approach.

Guiding and mentoring engineers.

Getting hands on with all aspects of the technology that supports LiveMore. including third party integrations and infrastructure.

Leading and managing the engineering of scalable web applications.

Lead and direct technical workshops within the team.

Provide estimation on feature work based on business requirements.

Assist with technical recruitment of developers.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

You have shipped code in high-level languages such as Python and JavaScript.

Experience and knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.

You have a technical background working with Python and Django.

Experience with end-to-end delivery of technical projects.

Experience working within an agile tech environment, ideally within a start-up

The Interview Process Consists Of

30 min screening call

1hr technical interview

1hr management and leadership interview

Note - Live More are working on a remote basis, however there will be times where you need to come to Bristol or London (travel paid) for meetings (appox every other month)
