Senior Project Manager

Our client are a renowned Utilities company leading the way in Energy Delivery. Due to a large amount of change going on with the client they are looking for experience Senior Project Managers with OT experience.

Senior IT Project Managers are required to have at least 8 years of experience in management either at a lead or support level. The right candidate has a track record of delivering IT projects on time and budget.

Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Identify key stakeholders and establish effective communication channels.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and align expectations.
  • Provide regular project updates, conduct status meetings, and manage stakeholder feedback.

Resource and Budget Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project expenses, track financial performance, and prepare budget reports.

Logistics Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Analyse the clients Operations requirements and design tailored logistics solutions that optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement logistics processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Oversee future system integration, testing, and deployment activities to ensure successful implementation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Monitor project risks and proactively address issues to ensure project success.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk registers accordingly.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish project metrics and KPIs to measure project performance and success.
  • Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and report on key milestones to stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports, including project status updates, financial summaries, and performance analysis.

Change Management:

  • Facilitate change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new logistics processes or technologies.
  • Identify change impacts & develop communication plans.
  • Address and resolve any resistance or challenges related to change management.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement within logistics operations.

Candidate must have -

  • A solid understanding of IT systems, networking and computer software
  • Strong Infrastructure Background
  • OT Experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • SCADA technology experience
  • Electricity and Gas Experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate IT staff
  • Logical problem solver who can operate under constraints
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Stakeholder Management Experience
  • Budget Responsibility on Projects in the multi-millions desired

The role is hybrid with 2 days in the office located in Horley
