We’re looking for two highly skilled Senior Project Managers to join our Regeneration and Strategy Directorate here at Calderdale Council. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we transform Calderdale through an unprecedented level of investment. Join us and be part of Calderdale’s next chapter.

Join us as a Senior Project Manager and play a leading role in the development and delivery of complex, multi-million pound capital projects creating real change for local people from day one.


We’re not even exaggerating, you really can! We are delivering a capital portfolio of hundreds of millions of pounds as part of ‘Calderdale The Next Chapter’.


You will play an essential part in the management and delivery of projects within the Major Projects Service at Calderdale Council that stimulate regeneration and economic growth across the borough and wider West Yorkshire region.

We have opportunities in two teams with different areas of focus:
Senior Project Manager (Highways and Infrastructure)


Projects include:
A629 phase 1b
Improving the flow of traffic and making it easier to walk, cycle or take public transport on the A629 south of Halifax.
A629 phase 2 Halifax town centre
We’re creating new public spaces improving accessibility, creating areas where people can move around free of traffic, improving vehicle circulation around the town and public transport connectivity, and supporting our aspirations for inclusive growth.
A641 improvement scheme
Developing a vision-led approach to active travel in south east Calderdale to support the Council’s wider objectives for growth.
Senior Project Manager (Schools Capital Programme)


Projects include:
The School Rebuilding Programme
The rebuilding and refurbishing of eleven schools across Calderdale providing brand-new facilities to improve the learning experience for students.
Local Plan
Creating new primary schools to serve as the hub for new garden communities as identified in Calderdale’s Local Plan.
Basic Need
Delivering mainstream and SEND projects to meet demands for pupil places across the borough.
Asset Management
Capital maintenance and replacement projects of Council maintained schools, ensuring buildings are safe for its staff, pupils and visitors.
