We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team, to support the growth of our business in the Government, Defence and Cyber Security domain. Working with the Group Director and the Programme Director to help win and deliver business in the UK.

Key focus of the role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of several bids and programmes, as well as ensuring the timely provision of formal bid, programme and contractual deliverables, performance metrics, progress reports and data/information in support of the key performance indicators on the bid/programme. You will also be accountable for budgetary control and effective risk management.

Responsibilities:

• Providing strong leadership to the programme teams to resolve matters relating to costs, work schedules, commercial and technical issues.

• Manage subcontracts, and subcontract relationships, as required, ensuring delivery is in line with programme needs (budget, schedule, quality and behaviours)

• Proactively and effectively manage all bid and programme risks – with clear definition of risk description, cause, consequence (cost and schedule impacts) and mitigation plans.

• Ownership of the Programme budgets, correctly managing cost allocation to the appropriate task and associated WBS items. Ensuring EAC and ETCs are reviewed, and reported accurately, with any cost variance clearly understood. Management of all other programme financial targets in support of Revenue, Cash and Margin

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• 7+ years of proven experience in project or programme management in the defence, cyber and/or security domain, with an in-depth knowledge of programme management techniques including project planning, project control, change management, performance measurement, cost control and risk & opportunity management. Experience in multiple execution methodologies is desirable.

• Experience of working within and contributing to highly collaborative multi-disciplined teams, with demonstrable experience in leading and managing engineers and engineering project teams to ensure all programme, technical and contractual deliverables are delivered to budget and schedule.

• APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent
