The Role:



Join MAG as we embark on an exciting period of transformation. We are shaping the future of our airports and have a diverse range of fascinating projects to get involved in. From terminal transformations to airfield modernisation, retail developments to sustainability projects, you will have the opportunity to work across all areas of our business and with stakeholders at all levels.



The purpose of this role is to deliver multiple complex and often high-profile projects across a range of MAG Assets at our 3 Airports. This includes Terminals, Airfield and Infrastructure. You will deliver your own portfolio of projects with a total anticipated value of £2m+ and be responsible for providing functional leadership to a small team of Project Professionals.



Principle Accountabilities will include:



Service

  • Accountable for delivery of complex projects within own Portfolio of works across group with clear focus on Cost, Schedule and Quality and compliance with the MAG PDS.
  • Ensures SHE legislation and CDM compliance is adhered to throughout project delivery lifecycle.
  • Maintain a customer focussed approach to project delivery which supports the tactical & operational requirements of the individual Airports.
  • Plans, prioritises, and manages multiple projects, ensuring delivery as promised with business case benefits realised.



Operational

  • Accountable for ensuring own Portfolio of projects are undertaken with minimal acceptable disruption to Airport operations.
  • Manage the stakeholder relationship with the operational areas impacted by any projects within own portfolio.



Cost

  • Drives value and efficiency through robust contract management and identification of on project opportunities.
  • Accountable for achieving in year Capex expenditure for own portfolio of projects.



People

  • Act as a mentor to junior team members to support their personal development.

Essential experience required to be successful in this role includes:



  • Desirable - University Degree and Chartered Engineer/Surveyor/Project Professional Status.
  • Must have APMP PPQ or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Professional Body membership or working towards desirable – RICS/CIOB/ICE etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: able to engage and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder demands.
  • Experience leading on managing 3rd party approvals (e.g., Planning, Property, Legal).
  • Proven commercial acumen – ability to contribute to building and presenting a credible CAPEX business case.
  • Team leadership, delivery through others, influencing without direct control.
  • Project development from explore through to handover.
  • Greenfield and brownfield project delivery in mature assets.
