Senior Project Manager

OMOP Productised Analytics, Real-World Solutions (RWS) Technology

The Project Manager will be responsible for the day to day planning, overseeing and management of the OMOP Productized Analytics projects from ideation through to completion, making sure the team has everything they need to function and focus on the OMOP Productised Analytics business.

This is a senior role at IQVIA and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving projects parts simultaneously.

This individual will need to have excellent communication skills along with critical thinking abilities to resolve project management and administrative issues.

What to expect/Key responsibilities

  • Provides high level of administrative support to management and/or department under minimal supervision and acting on own initiative and direction.
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives for all OMOP Productized Analytics projects.
  • Predict and located resources needed to reach project objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Track project costs and maintain renewals of existing contracts making sure to reach out when contracts are up for renewal
  • Manage the statement of work entry and maintenance for new contracts and projects, follow-up on pending approvals, approving milestones etc.
  • Handle escalations that cannot be resolved independently by direct reports, and may similarly escalate to more senior management as appropriate.
  • Participate in client sales meetings as a subject matter expert for OMOP Productized Analytics
  • Act as Scrum Master, coordinating scrums, backlog grooming, spring planning and demos of the OMOP Productized Analytics team.
  • Provide documentation needed for revenue tracking purposes on a quarterly basis

Our ideal candidate will have;

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in computer science, business or job-related experience.
  • Strong experience of project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to be prioritize opportunities and perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
  • Ability to keep information organized and confidential.

The team

IQVIA has adopted OMOP/OHDSI as a systematic and standardized approach to RWE. Data are converted into the OMOP Common Data Model, making queries and analytics interoperable and sharable. In addition, the generation of these queries and tools and its execution can be separated, both physically as well as logically, creating the opportunity to develop code for purposes of descriptive statistics or hypothesis testing in the absence of a direct data access to all data assets being targeted. As a consequence, the generation of insights becomes an industrialized process, including the characterization of data and the generation of insights.

The OMOP Productised Analytics team’s mission is to deliver world class and globally scalable projects through:

  • Rapid analytics - to assess study feasibility and availability of data
  • Standardised characterisations of the composition of a population: their demographic structure, the distribution of their comorbidities, the duration between diagnosis and intervention, etc.
  • Protocol-driven analytics - estimating the association between clinical interventions and their outcomes – benefits and adverse events.
  • Predictive models for determination of populations (phenotypes) or outcomes (patient-level predictions)

Location and travel

  • Role based remotely with minimal travel expected to other IQVIA offices (London, East Coast US) or to attend conferences.
