You will be part of a high-performance team of project managers who can work together effectively and across geographical boundaries, with clear planning of dependencies, management of risks, issues, actions, governance processes and reporting across projects.

About the role

We are looking for a strong IT project manager who is passionate about Data and BI, who enjoys covering the complete lifecycle of projects from strategy and vision through to execution and effective transition into normal business operation.

The role requires strengths in IT project management, a good understanding of data /BI, and strong leadership skills alongside a passion for wanting to work on complex/ challenging projects.

You will be part of a high-performing cross functional team who work closely together to and have a passion to continuously improving our approaches and championing fresh ideas (Increasing focus agile methodology).

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Ensuring successful delivery of a number of BI Projects within the Arriva Estate in line with our project management framework (End to end delivery from estimation through to implementation/benefits realisation)

· Ownership of project management artefacts (plans, forecast, RAID etc) and on behalf of cross functional project team presentation of ideas /material to key forums (Eg Steering Meetings, Gate Sign off, TDA/BDA)

· Ownership of key business and T&S relationship eg Sponsor (may include C-suite), Security

· In collaboration with wider delivery team, drive forward ideas for improving our delivery methodology and process to ensure we WOW the customer and stakeholders

About you

You can demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering technology projects within a similar role, ideally from a technical background with either experience as a developer or architect.

You are experienced in a variety of delivery approaches, from more traditional waterfall projects through to Iterative delivery using Agile approaches such as Scrum and Kanban.

Excellent communication and influencing skills are required in the role, with the ability to engage with stakeholders from a variety of countries, cultures and work collaboratively with all levels to achieve improved business outcomes. PRINCE 2/AGILE certification and experience of AWS technology is preferred.

You are experienced in the use of Data & BI, and a variety of delivery approaches from more traditional waterfall projects through to Iterative delivery using Agile approaches such as Scrum and Kanban.

You have a proven ability to lead and improve agile development projects · Experience of AWS technology (preferred).
