As a Senior Project Development Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to Veolia’s growth by developing building services, energy generation and distribution solutions that meet our customer requirements for sustainability, resilience, innovation, performance and optimised life cycle cost.

What will you be doing?
Providing technical direction and governance across Veolia UK’s Water & Industrial Customers.
Supporting the development and promotion of new innovative and commercially attractive service offering.
To support to the sustainable growth of Veolia UK’s business (HVAC, BMS, LTHW, Chilled Water, District Energy, Heat Pumps, Fuel Cells, Low Carbon Heat Network, Steam and CHP)
To support the Project Development leadership team, BD and Ops teams to develop new energy performance proposals, existing operational contracts and new business development opportunities within industrial, healthcare and building service sectors.
What are we looking for?
Degree (2:1) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Power Generation or similar engineering subject or demonstrable working experience.
Experience of the energy industry in particular: building services, HVAC, BMS, steam raising plants, CHP, LTHW systems, Low Carbon technology and heat networks.
Good understanding of thermal process, hydraulics, electrical distribution and controls to lead design reviews
Able to articulate a good understanding of design concepts to lead the in-house team through the project development process.
Experienced with project planning skills and capable of contributing to the development and negotiation of contract terms
Commercially astute with experience of costing models
A creative, solution oriented thinker with Technical Optioneering experience in a client facing capacity
Proficient with Microsoft/Google spreadsheets, documents, Gantt charts, presentations and working with cloud based documents in a broader collaborative team approach.
A capable relationship builder with good meeting facilitation techniques.
