Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Producer – Live Game role will be responsible for a number of areas across the Sea of Thieves live game experience. It will help us ensure that we understand the live health of the game, that we are prioritising and tracking key improvements and that our processes always prioritise the player experience.

It will require a self-motivated individual who is comfortable getting hands-on, seeking feedback and data from various sources and driving change and action across a multi-disciplinary team. The role will also oversee our regular releases, ensuring that we maintain our regular shipping culture and pursuit of player value, while having an understanding of the overall project roadmap and the impact of changes to our release plans.

This is an exciting role on Sea of Thieves, where the right person will be able to have real impact across both the live player experience and our internal processes. Key Accountabilities
  • Become the expert on the Sea of Thieves live game experience, understanding the key areas that matter to our players and when we need to target fixes and improvements.
  • Ensure that improvements to the live game experience are raised, tracked and addressed in a timely manner across the team.
  • Implement processes where necessary to understand the health of the live game experience, utilising a mix of feedback and data to ensure we always have the right information at hand to make the right decisions.
  • Ensure that live incidents are transitioned to the appropriate development teams and resolved swiftly and appropriately, maintaining communication lines throughout.
  • Work in partnership with our Live Operations, Release Management and Test teams to maintain the ‘regularly releasing player value’ culture.
  • Have a strong understanding of the franchise plans and roadmap, ensuring this is fed into all decisions around the release process and when and how we release content to players.
Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • An understanding of Sea of Thieves as a live game.
  • Proven ability to understand the game experience, working closely with a Design team.
  • Hands-on experience of working with cross-discipline teams in a game development environment.
  • Experience of working on a live game.
  • Experience of working with data to inform decisions and priorities.
  • Strong self-motivation and drive – this role needs someone who is comfortable shaping the role themselves to push for the best for the live game.
  • A calm and measured individual, able to steer the team through challenging waters. How you react during challenging situations, how you lead and how you learn are crucial to this role.
  • Approachable and willing to listen to questions and feedback from anyone.
  • Works well in a team environment, possessing strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with complex situations.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of working closely with the release process on a live game.
