Job description

The Senior Account Director will play a hands-on role across all of his or her client accounts, cultivating direct relationships and helping to expand the client base. The Senior Account Director will be skilled at dealing with clients at a strategic and operational level.
You will be in charge of business development, day-to-day account activity, and the proactive management of activity and media needs. Social media application experience is necessary.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Proactive account development and relationship building.
  • Extensive PR understanding and strong writing abilities.
  • An advantage is having prior knowledge in the pub, bar, food, beverage, and leisure industries.
  • Understanding what makes a strong story, having the ability to detect one, and being able to use skillful strategies to get exceptional coverage for clients.
  • Having the capacity to write effectively in a variety of genres for press releases, features, case studies, and new media platforms like blogs and Twitter.
  • Timely reporting and effective client activity management.
  • Active participation in presentations for new business.
  • Make sure that client PR strategies are integrated with the business’s overall marketing strategy and direction, and proactively adjust the plan to reflect change.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships while managing customer satisfaction, holding regular meetings or calls to keep important clients informed of job progress, and comparing PR achievements to client expectations
  • Develop and maintain connections with senior journalists and influencers, use networking to increase coverage, and use networking to find clients and grow your firm.
  • Overseeing a team and assisting in training and development
  • Communication and event planning.


About You:
  • A highly driven professional with at least 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably with agency side work.
  • dealing with various clients and managing the responsibilities of a team.

  • Communication and teamwork skills are crucial, as are good interpersonal skills.
