Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Control Room Operatoron one of our Northern North Sea Assets, Alwyn.
The Control is located on the North Alwyn platform. The role also includes to be CRO for the Dunbar platform located 23 km away. Dunbar export all its effluents to the North Alwyn.

- The Offshore Job Grade for this role is OG03.
- Perform in an emergency response role as defined by the Site Emergency Response Plan.
- Participate in the compilation of TRAs prior to execution of specific task and operations.
- Be fully aware of all Operating Instructions/Platform Directives/Standing Instructions.
- Maintain comprehensive continual monitoring of all process/utility units and react appropriately to alarms and upsets
- Ensure Oil & Gas production, water re-injection, production quality and quantity targets are achieved
- Ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Operating Procedures/Guidelines and taking into account maintenance and inspection requirements.
- Ensure work is carried out in compliance with statutory Health and Safety procedures and the Permit to Work system.
- To safely and efficiently restart the production plant and Platform utilities following shutdowns.
- Ensure Control Room logbook/ Opralog, files and all boards are up to date and maintained with accurate information.
- Carry out inhibit/override/link assessment, apply and record as per procedure
- Raise SAP notifications for defective equipment as appropriate.
- Maintain radio watch and communicate with marine vessels as required.
- Basic knowledge of fluid and gas mechanics and hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic controls should be complemented by relevant experience in offshore operations.
- Good knowledge of platform systems, processes and operating parameters.
- Have good communication skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels and direct, co-ordinate and organize work of production and maintenance personnel.
- Good logical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use sound rational judgement in decision-making.
