As part of the Core Offer Management Team, you will develop the core assets the global team need to work closely with our biggest and most strategic customers to help them with their digital transformation and to generate incredible value for their business and communities. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

You will a primary advisor for mapping the corporate commercial vision and strategy to tactical opportunity management. In other words, you will responsible for developing new tools, collateral and artefacts that embrace the company’s strategy and ensure it is delivered effectively to our customers through our Salesforce.

Within 30 days of employment, become familiar with VMware’s product portfolio and the Offer Manager set of tools. You will shadow one of our experienced Offer Managers and work jointly on existing initiatives.

Within 90 days of employment, you will have the necessary foundation of the Offer Manager to start leading your own initiatives and finding gaps and areas for development within our commercial SaaS/Subscription GTM.

Within 180 days you will be training and enabling other Offer Managers around the world on how to leverage your assets to develop up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, produce and present the financial business case on behalf of Field Sales, champion/coordinate bid specific T&Cs/pricing internally and proactively consider and recommend improvements to large deal eco-systems.

Within 360 days you will be the influencing corporate decisions and commercial product design/GTM and offering support for the largest and most complex opportunities across the globe.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

Your regular activities may be modified to suit your professional strengths, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing tools used by team (MS Excel and VB)
  • Developing new tools and associated customer facing outputs right through from requirements gathering, building, testing, training & ongoing user support and maintenance (with particular focus on subscription and hybridity with perpetual)
  • Building a network of relationships with key BU/Pricing stakeholders to influence the shape of commercial GTM
  • Assisting Sales Executives with commercial support and consultancy on large global sales opportunities.
  • Building evolving financial business case capability into Offer Management tools.
  • Create and deliver on-going commercial training to Offer Managers (globally) and Field Sales
  • Identifying, quantifying and interpreting business change, and collaborating with an extended team to develop viable, impactful solutions for Offer Managers and Sales Executives.

You will be joining the Core Global Offer Management team which supports a 90+ person Offer Management function consisting of Offer Analysts, Offer Managers, Senior Offer Managers and Directors. The global team is truly global covering all continents and located in over 25 countries.

Where is this role located?

The location of this role is Europe with flexible country/city location. Work will be done either from your home and/or a VMware office, or a combination of both, depending on your preference and circumstances. A small amount of international travel will most likely be required.
