Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure UK are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join on a 6 to 12 month contract in Derby.

Mechanical and CAD engineering support is required to assist with design updates across a number of mechanical work packages. These updates are due to supplier comments on drawings, TQs during manufacture and design changes requested by the project.

Structural and pressure calculations using MathCAD will be required to justify designs and modelling and detailing work is completed using Siemens NX11.

Profile

What we are looking for in applicants:

  • Unigraphics experience (ideally NX11) is essential
  • Experience of using Siemens Teamcenter PLM software is essential
  • Experience of mechanical 3D modelling
  • Able to work to ASME Y14.5 STANDARD.
  • Engineering qualification to degree level
  • Proactive in developing design solutions and driving them to completion
  • Motivated to achieve project targets
  • Somebody who can coordinate different disciplines to develop design solutions
