The Opportunity

The Senior Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for manufacturing products and components to meet agreed quality, time-scale and cost objectives

About You

The Senior Manufacturing Technician will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

A recognised relevant engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ etc
Will have held a similar role in a similar environment
Solid practical knowledge of skills such as mechanical assembly, electrical and electronic assembly, wiring looms, Electrical soldering, surface mount soldering and bench assemblies
Can support the implementation of changes
5s discipline
Provides Training
Aspires to lead by example
Follows through business decisions with support from Cell Leader
Focus on personal development
Has flexible range of skills across cells & products
Positive & professional attitude to work and OI
Drives a quality culture
Flexible and can respond positively to change

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Manufacturing Technician

From team production plan, manage personal workload ensuring all milestones are achieved
Utilise best practice processes, techniques and continuous improvement methods as introduced
Operate within the Quality policy and procedures as defined in the quality system
Maintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities
Recognise team customers, both internal and external and strive to fully satisfy their needs
Personally, demonstrates highest standards of workmanship
Using agreed measures, monitor and report on existing processes, indicating the need for corrective action as required
Support the Cell Leader in improving the performance and development of the team
Establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with other members of the team
