The growth in Macquarie Asset Management’s Thought Leadership offering has created an opportunity for a motivated self-starter to take the next step in their career. You will be joining the London or Frankfurt office in the Thought Leadership team at an exciting time in its evolution, in a role with the scope to make a real difference.

You will be responsible for supporting Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets economist in the production, delivery and marketing of research for external clients and internal stakeholders. In addition to the handling of client requests, preparation of presentation materials and general analytical work you will be tasked with producing research papers on subject matters of interest to our clients.

Key areas of focus include real assets investing, long-run macroeconomic thematics and sustainability and energy transition trends. Your excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills, and general inquisitiveness will be key to your success in this aspect of the role. Experience in a research role at another asset manager, sell side research firm or consultancy will be vital for this role. Real assets research experience would be an advantage, but general investment strategy and/or macroeconomic research would also be beneficial.

In addition to the research aspect of the role, you will also be tasked with delivering on internal workstreams focused on improving our Thought Leadership offering to external clients. Some project management or administrative experience would be an advantage, but is not necessary, for this part of the role. Your ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders as well as persistence, drive and an outcomes-focused approach will be key to your success.
