Senior Manager, Regulatory Financial Reporting at

We’re looking to strengthen our Finance team here at Checkout.com! As Senior Manager, Regulatory Financial Reporting, you’re a people-focused leader with strong regulatory expertise to drive continuous improvement within our regulatory reporting capabilities.

You’ll be part of our broader Finance team, focusing primarily on regulatory reporting for our various legal entities in the UK and across Europe. You’ll have the opportunity to work really closely with the accounting, financial reporting, and treasury teams!

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business degree preferred with ~5+ years’ professional experience in e-commerce/payments/financial services industries
  • Experience working for a global organization and partnering with colleagues across multiple time zones
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives
  • Payments and/or fintech experience is a plus though not required; banking/ financial services experience required
  • Strong organizational skills and able to influence and work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills. This role demands someone who can present effectively to leadership but is also comfortable getting into the weeds with the team
  • Experience in project management
  • High level of expertise in sourcing, interrogating, and manipulating data in various forms/code from multiple systems/platforms
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee Checkout.com’s financial regulatory reporting obligations for its UK and European entities and ensure timely submission of all required filings, as necessary, as well as responses to ad hoc requests
  • Work with accounting, financial reporting, and treasury teams to assess, validate and ensure accuracy of all reports
  • Assess, develop and maintain proper controls, robust documentation, and change management approach for all reports
  • Assess and scope new reporting requirements and establish the reporting processes to enable automation of the reporting processes
  • Participate in related forums and regulatory engagements to understand the impact on existing and new regulatory reporting obligations
  • Perform regulatory reporting gap analysis, impact assessment and define readiness criteria
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and teams to gain an understanding of reporting obligations and information requirements to get accurate and timely data to fulfill obligations, monitoring and forecasting
  • Develop regulatory reporting data requirements, data sources, mapping rules and associated quality frameworks
  • Ensure automated reporting solutions are implemented rationalizing related systems, processes, and controls
  • Define, design, and test report output for quality assurance
  • Develop quality control processes to maintain a consistent source of truth for financial reporting
  • Assess, develop and maintain proper controls and robust documentation
