Some of your accountabilities will include:

  • Lead and provide direction to sustain a high performing planning team environment
  • Own the development and improvement of existing planning models
  • Support & positively challenge internal customers where appropriate to ensure performance delivery is achieved.
  • Produce short, medium, and long-term demand plans for each operational customer.
  • Create and sustain optimised roster patterns aligned to the needs of the business
  • Assess the forecast sensitivity and risk to apply the correct levels of resource.
  • Balance work patterns and rosters that are efficient but ensure employee satisfaction and reduced attrition
  • Continuously monitor and ensure that the right number of staff are available to resource the operation.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and make recommendations to the supported leadership teams on resource levels to meet financial and customer service KPIs.
  • Ensure resource plans are aligned to budget parameters, policy, process, key regulations, and compliance.
  • Create and maintain complex formula and data manipulation using a variety of manual and automated systems and processes.

You will be passionate about planning and have proven experience of leading multiple teams in large, fast paced, and agile environments. As a pro-active leader your specialist skills in workforce planning and resourcing will see you capable of introducing more efficient working practices/technology. As a true leader and experienced specialist, you will possess:

  • Proven experience of developing and leading a high performing team.
  • An approachable leader, with a ‘can do’ attitude leading by example
  • Demonstrable analytical experience dealing with complex data sets
  • Proven capability in demand forecasting and supply optimisation
  • Ability to create, develop and maintain complex formula and data manipulation
  • A track record of using specialist knowledge of Manpower resource planning to deliver results and optimise business performance
  • Proficient at working with complex roster patterns, scheduling, and resource models
  • Experience of developing and understanding quality management systems and performance measurement.
  • Excellent key stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and develop relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Ability to translate complex information into high-level power-point presentations.
  • Good commercial acumen with the ability to think holistically.
  • Proven experience of working with manual Microsoft Excel data sheets and specialist workforce planning systems.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, including word, power-point, excel and Microsoft teams.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel is ‘a must’.
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, in a planning or relevant technical discipline.
