Senior Management Accountant – Hull – £45,000-£55,000

Chase & Holland are proud to be exclusively partnering a large international FMCG business, who is looking to take on an experienced, dynamic Senior Management Accountant for a newly created role due to business growth. This role will suit a technically strong qualified accountant from practice who is seeking a move into industry in a management accounting role.

This role will see you being responsible for the preparation of the management accounts pack and being an integral part of the finance team in this supportive and proactive environment. You will be responsible for the management accounting process for multiple divisions of the business and consolidate these monthly.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation of management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, detailed variance analysis, MI pack, cashflow and commentary
  • Accruals, prepayments and various journals
  • Preparation of various reports & graphs for the board pack
  • Costings and ensuring integrity of the process
  • Stock reconciliation’s & reporting
  • Cost, margin & sales analysis
  • Develop detailed overhead analysis
  • Preparation of detailed consolidated accounts pack
  • Review and develop reporting pack and streamline processes to reduce month end timeline
  • Review and develop internal controls
  • Develop interaction with the operational managers and MD to be the point of contact for any questions and ad-hoc reporting required
  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting process
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified ACA/ ACCA Accountant
  • Sound practice background and seeking a management accounting focused role in industry.
  • IT literate including excel and ERP systems
  • Proactive, self starter
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work off own initiative
  • Continuous improvement mentality and passion to drive improvement
