In this newly created role, you will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Computing and Games in the School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies.

You will be required to both lead and contribute to the design, delivery, assessment and quality assurance of the University’s programmes and modules at all levels. This will include the delivery of innovative, engaging and effective teaching through a range of delivery styles including distance learning, team based working etc. You must also ensure that learning provided to students is contemporary, underpinned and informed by research, external stakeholders, and current developments in the field.

A First Degree and PhD in relevant discipline are essential. You must hold or be willing to complete a relevant Teaching Qualification i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation. It is essential that you have general knowledge of computer science or video game development, with in-depth practical experience of immersive technologies based upon either virtual reality or augmented reality. You must show commitment and demonstrable potential to undertake research, development and/or scholarship to enhance teaching.
