Senior Java Developer - Design Consultancy

Leeds/Hybrid

Up to £70,000 + benefits

The YourCode Group is proud to be partnered with one of the leading design consultancies in the United Kingdom, who are looking to expand their software engineering teams and work on a number of key projects related to the public sector environment. Our customer is working remotely, with a hybrid approach (1 day per week in the office).

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Java Developer to join their agile engineering teams to work on the design, development and implementation of enterprise-level greenfield Java software that is utilised by millions of people on a weekly basis. This is a significant opportunity to work on real-world problems that you will experience personally in day-to-day life.

Responsibilities
  • Produce software for Hippo and our clients - front-end, back-end, platform, we do it all, but you don’t need to be an expert in it all;
  • Create web applications used by public and staff - this includes researching with members of the public to understand their needs;
  • Work within an agile, collaborative, multidisciplinary team;
  • Prototype new functionality prior to committed development;
  • Utilise the latest standards and approaches to solving problems;
  • Build great relationships with your team and stakeholders;
  • Work with the Hippo community to share best practice to ensure high standards.

  • Java, Spring Boot, CXF, Jetty, Mustache, HTML, CSS, JavaScript - Node.js, React, Angular, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, TDD, Agile, CI/CD - Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps, Atlassian.
