Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Senior IT Services Technician who will be responsible for providing effective and efficient technical support to the College’s computer network.

As a Senior IT Services Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and repair of computer systems and servers across the whole of the College group. You will Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve IT system and service issues and liaise with the Service Desk function to ensure high standards of customer care. You will also lead or assist with long and short term projects involving IT.

The successful candidate will require a Level 3 qualification in computing or related subject and 4 GCSEs or equivalent. It is desirable that the candidate has Microsoft MTA/ MCP/ MCSA/ MCSE, Comptia A+, N+ or similar certification.

Applicants will also have experience have detailed knowledge of Windows Server applications such as Active Directory and Group Policy and an understanding of Office 365 Admin Centres including Azure AD, Exchange, Intune, Security and Endpoint Manager.

This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
