Senior ICT Technician

37 hours per week, Fixed Term 24 Months

Salary: S5 CP 12- 18 - £22,183 to £24,982

Start Date: September 2021

Job Purpose:

  • The successful candidate will be proficient in coordinating an ICT Service that provides an efficient and effective ICT Technical Support Service to pupils and staff, maintain network documentation and implement all policies and procedures relating to IT and acceptable use.

  • They will work as part of the IT team alongside the ICT Network Manager to ensure safe operation and maintenance of ICT technologies; this may include Windows computers, Servers, Network equipment, reprographics and AV equipment such Promethean to Apple iPads and MDN.

  • The Senior Technician will support the use of ICT through the maintenance of software, hardware and related equipment, and providing support to school staff, pupils and Trust’s executive leadership team to ensure administration and learning outcomes are maximised.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong skills in the management and troubleshooting of networked systems and working knowledge of effective service management methodologies (FITS/ ITIL or similar) as well as possess the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with users of all abilities and seniority across all schools.

  • The successful candidate will also have the ability to implement and produce ICT based policies and procedures and be able to work independently, using their own initiative while being adaptable and working at a fast pace, while meeting the needs of staff, students and parents, as appropriate
