This is an outstanding opportunity to develop compliance skills and expertise and investment banking knowledge in a fast paced environment. This is a dynamic team within IB CCO that covers a broad range of compliance risks as well as diving deep into areas of potential risk.as the need arises or responding to risk events and driving mitigation. As such it provides exposure to many different stakeholders within the bank and the opportunity to both deepen and broaden knowledge of regulatory topics and the operations of Credit Suisse Investment Banking Division.

The chosen candidate will be required to -

  • Provide advisory and guidance to operations functions within the IB on compliance with and develop policies and standards and guidelines to support the bank’s compliance with rules and regulations
  • Assess the compliance impact of change within the bank and provide advice to stakeholders on how to compliance with any new regulatory obligations
  • Support the delivery of centrally run regulatory programs within the investment bank, advising key compliance stakeholders on the risk profile and activities of the investment bank
  • Develop and oversee the execution of monitoring programs, including deep dive risk reviews on areas of concern, communicate the results to senior management as necessary and monitor any action taken to address identified deficiencies
  • Lead the delivery of the CFTC Swap Dealer and Securities Based Swap Dealer compliance programs, including the annual attestations and Board reports, periodic monitoring and NFA filings
  • Contribute/ assist in the assessment of horizontal risks as party of the annual Compliance Risk Assessment, working with IB coverage as well as Group Regulatory Compliance teams

Your future colleagues

The Regulatory Compliance function of the Investment Banking CCO is a core team that is involved in both advisory and risk oversight and the development and implementation of regulatory programs. Within IB CCO Regulatory Compliance, the Operations & Infrastructure coverage team is responsible for advising and assisting key stakeholders in ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations such as Client Asset Protection, Trade and Transaction Reporting, Securities and Derivatives Market Infrastructure related regulations and supporting operations functions in compliance with CS policies and standards. The team is also responsible for assessing the impact of new regulatory requirements and advising and assisting the bank in implementing these appropriately. Finally, the team is responsible for working with central Compliance functions in the execution of regulatory driven programs across the bank.

  • Educated to degree level of equivalent, proven background in investment banking compliance roles
  • Strong collaborator and team worker
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure
  • Intellectually curious and motivated to drive issues to resolution
  • Proficient in Powerpoint and Excel
