ABOUT THE POSITION

Working closely with the International HR Director who is based in London you will partner with HR colleagues across the globe – in the US, the UK, Germany, South Africa, India, China, Singapore, and Australia – to manage, own and deliver a range of HR projects which are critical to WE’s people strategy. These projects are extremely varied across the HR spectrum and focus areas include executive compensation, job levelling, policies, procedures and compliance, integration and harmonisation of acquisitions and data privacy.

We are a small team in a fast-moving and global agency and so in addition to your project duties you’ll also support our HR Partners on an ad-hoc basis with operational aspects.
Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with the global HR team review and update existing employee handbooks with the aim of driving consistency across all our markets.
  • Reviewing and updating employment contracts and other employment paperwork to ensure it is fit-for-purpose.
  • Work with the International HR Director on the design and planning of a Background Screening policy and work with global HR colleagues in its implementation across markets.
  • Work with the International HR Director to establish consistency for global relocations and secondments and development and implementation of policy, guidelines and best practice.
  • In conjunction with the HR team in North America and the International HR Director identify best practice in place across the business and work with the International HR Director in rolling out this best practice and localizing content.
  • Support the International HR Director on executive compensation analysis, compensation philosophy design and job levelling and incorporating this into the annual salary review, performance review and bonus process.
  • Reviewing salary survey data and working with the International HR Director and HR team to improve our compensation benchmarking practices.
  • Work with the International HR Director to analyse WE’s pay equity data and identify action plans and recommendations.
  • Support the HR teams in using Workday as a system of record and imbedding best practice in its use on a day to day basis.
  • Working with Corporate Citizenship and the International HR Director to help bring to life our Corporate Citizenship campaigns internationally including: Human Rights Council Equality Index, Volunteering, Pro Bono Programme, and Global Exchange.
  • Partner with HR teams and IT to ensure compliance with relevant data privacy legislation from an HR perspective.
  • Work with the US based L&D team to take existing internal training resources and adapt the content to diverse and international audiences and if appropriate deliver some of this content to local offices.
  • Support other ad-hoc HR projects that arise and which map to our overall global strategy. These projects may span compensation and benefits, learning and development, HR systems and policies and procedures.
  • Support day-to-day HR operational areas across the International markets on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications:
Previous proven experience:
  • Substantial experience of working at a senior level within an international HR operational environment and with strong experience in project management: developing proposals, establishing project plans and executing against project plans.
  • Strong working knowledge of job and compensation levelling practices including (but not limited to) Radford.
  • Ability to create from scratch and adapt existing content to create engaging L&D programmes for various skills levels focused on general management and business skills (presentation skills, time management etc).
  • Strong understanding of the nuances of working internationally and the importance and need to not adopt a “one size fits all” approach to all HR programmes.
  • Confidence in presenting ideas to others and strong influencing skills with senior level stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of data privacy, employment law and other legislation which impacts the HR function.
  • Ability to form strong working relationships on a remote basis with diverse team members.
  • Highly Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the ability to manipulate and analyse data
  • Knowledge and sound working experience of HR/Payroll software, ideally Workday
  • Experience and ability to translate theoretical concepts into workable solutions
  • Experience in a market in which WE has operations would be desirable
  • Customer focused with proven ability to work to tight deadlines
